Contacted John Beal Roofing 4-19-2019 regarding hail damage to my roof. Nate, the salesman worked with my insurance claims adjuster to determine the extent of damage to the roof. After the claim was made, the order was put in to replace the roof and the work began within about a week and a half. The crew worked very hard to tear off the old roof one day and install the new one the next day. Nate was very knowledgeable and great to work with to select the right shingles. Thanks to the hard working crew, the new roof was ready for the storm we had that evening. No water leaks! We are very pleased with our new roof. Was upset to find out that they don't warranty their repair work. Not sure I'll use them. A little confused on that policy. Update: Kim took time to explain their policy and why they take a certain position on certain repairs. They guy that came out and did my repair was knowledgeable and came across as very professional. Everything was professional from the sales person to the actual installation. The sales person was excellent and even suggested that we get two more estimates. We were advised of the progress and the installation crew arrived exactly as forecast. We have a rather large roof (33.4 squares) but the job was completed in one day. Cleanup was excellent with only one nail and two small plastic strips found. We love our new roof and J. Beal is excellent.

Had a roof installed last summer (2017) while I was not present. John Beal' s service is excellent in every way (workmanship, quality of roof and cleanup). I contacted John Beal Roofing ( Ashley, awesome salesman!) after I was ripped off by Redeemed Renovations of Granite City, IL ( I filed my complaint here on Redeemed Renovations). John Beal quoted $5,000 for my front roof and deck roof, but ended up doing the whole roof. They came in with a week and half at 6:15 am and knocked it out in one day. The crew was awesome. They cleaned up the area very well. The workmanship was beautiful. I am ecstatic to finally have this home repair project done. My neighbor and I both have John Beal roofs and are very pleased with how it has turned out and best thing is we both have warranties that mean something.

I give Kim and our roof repairman, Ranger a two thumbs up! Kim was always great to deal w/ on the Internet and when Ranger came to check out our chimney problem, he seemed sincere to repair it for us. Bad weather hampered the times, but it finally cleared and was warm enough one day that Ranger showed up and told me he would have the problem chimney finished that day and he did! He seemed sincere and did not fool around. In fact, when he showed me his work he completed, I told him as soon as it was warm enough, I would get up there and spray paint the three areas of alum. he did. Well, Ranger went out to his truck, produced a can of flat spray paint and proceeded to go back up on my roof and spray each shiny alum. area! I was impressed that he did that for me! His cleanup was appreciated too when he finished his work. If and when I need a new roof, I will definitely call John Beal - no question! Thank you!

I inherited a house from my grandfather when he passed, it needed a lot of work including a new roof. I was on a very tight budget and I knew that a new roof may not be feasible. I called John Beal and a salesman by the name of Greg looked at my roof and skylights. He went over all the options available including styles and colors. He was very upfront on the cost and told me that custom skylights were my best option since mine were so old and leaky. To my surprise everything was very affordable! Greg suggested storm cloud colored shingles saying that it would make my house stand out and he was right it looks amazing. The install went smoothly. A short time later two of my family members had hail damage from a recent storm, I was able to refer them to John beal and received a nice referral incentive. I recently used John Beal to install a new roof - after having used them in the past for some minor storm damage repairs - and couldn't be happier. Beginning with Nate and finishing with Jorge and his excellent crew my wife and I are very happy with our new roof. All the people I encountered with John Beal were easy and pleasant to work with. The crew was excellent and the clean-up was more than expected. They even cleaned up a broken flower pot that I had broken the day before (but had not yet gotten around to picking up) and it was impossible to tell that a roof was replaced earlier in the day. From start to finish, working with John Beal Inc has been easy and worry free. I contacted them thru an email late at night. The next day first thing in the morning I was contacted by Ashley. Ashley set up a date with Bret the salesperson. Bret arrived at the time on the date promised. The estimate was about $1500 less than what I was expecting. So I signed the contract the same day with Bret. Bret said it would take two to three weeks to schedule and install the new roof. I signed the contract March 27, 2019, the new roof was installed April 15, 2019. The crew arrived early as expected. All very hard workers, old roof removed new roof installed on the same day. The crew did an excellent job from start to finish. April 18, 2019 the roof was tested with heavy rains that moved thru during the night. And as expected no leaks. Ashley kept me informed with pre and follow up phone calls. John Beal inc is a dependable company, and I recommend them.

Showed me exactly what I was going to receive for my money, from the different materials available, to ratings and specs and warranties. Everything was packaged up for me to review at my leisure and compare to my other bids. No pressure to buy what so ever.
They gave me a estimated window of time when the job would start, which they hit. Kept me informed about the process of stocking the roof and what would happen the day of construction.
The roof went on, looks great, and clean up was excellent. They inspected the roof the next business day for workmanship and called to let me know my lien waiver was emailed.
I dealt with Matt D. as my estimator and Tara D. as the coordinator, both were professional and do their jobs well.
I would recommend John Beal to anyone who asks me for a roofing referral.

Very fast and efficient. I needed portions of wood molding near the roof line replaced. The office dispatched an estimator within a day of contact. We had minor damage to our roof from a windstorm, and contacted John Beal as well as another local company for estimates after our insurance company had assessed the damage. The other company came first, and although we knew that the roof did not need to be replaced, they wanted to try to manipulate things to get a new roof put on our house. It took John Beal a couple of weeks to get to us for an estimate, but we were very happy we waited. Matt looked everything over and explained that there was very little actual damage, and certainly not enough to cause any problems with leaks, Most of the damage was just scratches and cosmetic things, but we did get their estimate for how much it would cost to have them replace what the insurance company had approved. What a contrast between John Beal and the other company that was trying to just make as much money as possible for something that didn't need to be done! Needless to say, we chose to work with John Beal. Although our repair date had to be moved farther out a few times due to rain and then extreme heat, the job did get done recently and was done quickly and professionally. We also had two window screens that had been slightly damaged, which they removed in order to have them replaced, and Matt brought them back on his day off as he was on his way out of town to celebrate his birthday. Thank you so much, Matt. One other person who should be given a great rating is Kim in the office, with whom we spoke on the phone more than once as well as had email communication with. She is stellar. She is friendly, professional, and makes sure you have all the information you need. All in all, there was nothing about our experience with John Beal that we can find to complain about. We will definitely call them again if we need roofing work of any kind.

My company has a nursing home in West St. Louis County with a shingle roof of approx. 50,000 square feet. The roof was replaced 5 years ago by another local roofing company that will not return to repair roof problems. I contacted John Beal Roofing two years ago to repair several of these leaks and again within the past two months. Each time, John Beal has corrected the problems and the leaks have not returned. John Beal may not be the cheapest, but the show up, perform the work neatly and professionally, and the invoiced price is exactly as proposed. There were no requests for extras on either occasion.

The field contact was very good, along with working with the front office. I feel the material used was of very good quality and timeliness of the installation was also very good. The one concern was the day of the install, the workers that showed up appeared not to be able to speak English. Someone did show up later that did, but they left shortly afterwards. It was a little uncomfortable for my wife that day. All went well with the install, just having workers on the property that could not communicate well was concerning.

I had a new roof put on June 12th, 2017. The weather was brutally hot that week, temperatures were about 100 degrees and the installers worked the first day from about 7:00am till it got dark. Amazing. They had to come back and finish the job the second day which was just as hot. I only had a couple of minor complaints which were taken care of onsite. Prior to choosing John Beal, I was openly taking bids for a new roof from many different roofers. I chose John Beal because of their salesman Matt. He was credible, straight forward and his experience in roofing was evident. Their bid turned out to be the lowest and after I signed the contract, he went to bat for me with my insurance company and got them to pay for a new skylight (after they initially refused to do so), and to pay for additional ice and water shield to cover the entire low pitch portion of my roof. I was very grateful he stepped in for me and fought for us. He and the others at John Beal had the expertise and experience to win over my insurance company. The fact that I did not have to argue with them was a great relief.
