How much does a new roof cost in St. Louis?
It depends on the roof: its size, pitch and complexity, how many layers come off, decking condition, ventilation, and the shingle you choose. We don’t quote a price per square without seeing the roof. Instead, we measure and photograph it for free and hand you a written, itemized estimate, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
How do I know whether I need roof repair or replacement?
Common signs a roof is near the end are widespread granule loss, curling or cracked shingles, repeated leaks in different spots, and soft decking. A roof with isolated damage can often be repaired. Our free inspection gives you photos of every slope and an honest repair-or-replace recommendation, and we’ll tell you when a repair is the smarter call.
How long does roof replacement take?
Most residential replacements are a one- or two-day job once the crew is on site: tear-off and dry-in on day one, finish and cleanup on day two. Larger or steeper roofs take longer, and we would rather move a start date for weather than open your roof to rain.
What roofing warranty does John Beal Roofing provide?
Every roof we install comes with our non-prorated Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. It’s standard, not an upgrade, and it transfers to the next owner of the home. It covers the labor; shingle and material defects are covered separately by the manufacturer. See warranty details.

Yes. There’s no charge, no deposit and no obligation. An inspector walks the roof, photographs every slope, and gives you a written report with an itemized price that’s yours to keep whether or not you hire us. Most inspections are scheduled within 24 to 48 hours.
