LOUIS, MO — October 26, 2026 — John Beal Roofing, the family-owned roofing company that has served St. Louis and the Midwest since 1947, today announced the promotion of Austin Maiden to National Sales Director, effective November 1, 2026. In his new role, Maiden will oversee hiring, training and recruiting for every John Beal Roofing market, including the company's St. Louis headquarters, and will report directly to Sam Maiden Jr., President of John Beal Roofing.
Eight years, nearly every seat in the building
Maiden's John Beal Roofing story started long before his first paycheck. He grew up around the office, learning how the business runs from the age of 9 while his dad worked there. He officially joined John Beal Roofing in 2018 in accounting support. Over the next eight years he moved through just about every part of the business: the rehash team, residential account manager, commercial account manager and, most recently, Kansas City branch manager. Few people in the company have seen a roofing job from as many angles, from the paperwork and the insurance details to the homeowner's kitchen table and the commercial building's roof.
That path is exactly why the company chose him. A sales leader who has done the work in the office, in the field and in front of customers can train new team members on how a job really runs, not just how to close it.
Rebuilding the Kansas City office
In 2026, Maiden reopened and revamped John Beal Roofing's Kansas City branch, rebuilding the team and its processes and growing the office into one of the company's strongest markets this year. The Kansas City turnaround gave the company a working model for how a branch should be staffed, trained and run, and Maiden will now bring that model to every market John Beal Roofing serves.

Austin Maiden is a St. Louis native and a graduate of CBC High School, where he was a 4x100 relay state champion in track and field. He attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. He joined John Beal Roofing in 2018.
