Roofing in Godfrey and the Riverbend (62035)
Godfrey sits on the Illinois side of the Mississippi, just north of Alton, with a mix of mid-century homes and newer construction on larger lots. Properties near the bluffs and open ground get more wind exposure than tightly built city streets, which puts extra load on shingle edges and ridge caps.

What we installed on Riehl Lane
OC Duration's SureNail reinforced nailing strip is a good match for wind-exposed homes: it gives each fastener more to hold onto. The peaks were finished with Owens Corning hip and ridge cap, and the eaves and rakes got a dedicated starter course rather than cut field shingles.
Under the shingles are JBI synthetic underlayment and Alco ice and water membrane at the eaves and valleys, and continuous Lomanco Omni Roll ridge ventilation exhausts the attic.
