Roofing in South St. Louis (63139)
The 63139 ZIP is in south St. Louis city, where streets are lined with brick homes and two-family flats, most of them built before World War II. Lots are narrow and many houses are close together, so debris goes out through the alley and neighboring yards and gardens are protected during tear-off.
Older brick homes bring their own details: chimneys that need new counter-flashing, parapet or sidewall transitions, and decking that may have been patched more than once over a century.

OC Supreme and the details that finish it
OC Supreme is Owens Corning's three-tab shingle: a flat, traditional look that suits many South City homes. It was installed over JBI synthetic underlayment, with Alco ice and water membrane at the eaves and valleys and OC Starter at the edges.
The ridge was capped with OC ProEdge Hip & Ridge, and a Lomanco Omni Roll ridge vent was installed to exhaust the attic. On a small roof, the ridge vent and the flashing at the chimney and walls do most of the work of keeping the home dry.

What's the difference between OC Supreme and OC Duration?
Supreme is a flat three-tab shingle. Duration is a thicker architectural shingle with a dimensional look and Owens Corning's SureNail strip. Both are Owens Corning products we install regularly.
