Materials installed, layer by layer

Owens Corning Supreme is a traditional three-tab shingle, a flat, uniform look that suits smaller sections, outbuildings and homes that were originally built with three-tab. Every one of our replacements is a system, not just shingles. On this roof, from the deck up:

  • A full layer of synthetic underlayment. It’s the backup water barrier under the shingles, and it holds up to foot traffic and wind far better than paper felt.
  • Self-sealing ice and water membrane where water concentrates. It seals around every nail driven through it, which matters in valleys and at the eaves.
  • OC Starter at the eaves and rakes. It’s a purpose-made starter strip with factory adhesive, not cut-up field shingles, so the edges stay sealed.
  • OC ProEdge Hip & Ridge on the hips and peak. Matching cap shingles made for the job, not field shingles cut into pieces.
  • Lomanco Omni Roll ridge vent. Continuous exhaust at the peak. Together with the soffit intake, it moves heat and moisture out of the attic.

The crew behind this roof

This was a St. Louis office job, installed by our own crew, not subcontracted out. From the day the job was opened (July 13, 2026) to the day the crew finished (September 9, 2026) took 58 days. Family-owned since 1947, we back every replacement with a lifetime workmanship warranty. We answer the phone around the clock, storms included. See 24/7 emergency service.

Questions homeowners ask about this project

What shingle was installed on this St. Louis roof?

Owens Corning OC Supreme, over synthetic underlayment across the full deck. The full system is in the project details table above.

How big was the roof on Belwood Drive?

12.67 squares, or about 1,267 square feet of roof surface. A roofing square is 100 square feet. Roofs are measured and priced that way, not by the square footage of the floor plan.

Was ice and water shield installed?

Yes. Alco Ice & Water membrane went in the valleys and along the eaves, the spots where water backs up or collects first.

What kind of ventilation went on this roof?

A Lomanco Omni Roll ridge vent along the peak. Paired with soffit intake, it lets hot, moist attic air escape.

Do you publish the customer's address?

No. We publish the street name, city and ZIP so you can see we really work in your neighborhood. We leave off the house number and never publish a customer's name.
