Three lines, one family

When people search for “Landmark shingle colors,” they usually mean CertainTeed Landmark, one of the most widely installed architectural shingles in the country. But Landmark has become a family of lines. They look similar from the street, but they differ in thickness, color blending and storm performance, and each has its own color list.

Landmark — 9 colors

The core line: Moire Black, Weathered Wood, Driftwood, Georgetown Gray, Heather Blend, Resawn Shake, Colonial Slate, Cobblestone Gray and Pewter. It is a dependable, dimensional architectural shingle and the most common choice for Midwest homes. See all Landmark colors.

Landmark PRO — 11 Max Def colors

Landmark PRO is heavier and thicker, with “Max Def” color blends that use a wider range of granule colors for more contrast and depth: Max Def Heather Blend, Resawn Shake, Weathered Wood, Cobblestone Gray, Driftwood, Georgetown Gray, Shenandoah, Red Oak, Coastal Blue, Espresso and Evergreen. Shenandoah, Red Oak, Coastal Blue, Espresso and Evergreen are PRO-only on our selector. See Landmark PRO colors.

Landmark ClimateFlex — 9 colors

ClimateFlex uses a polymer-modified asphalt for impact resistance and flexibility in freezing weather, a strong fit for hail-prone neighborhoods. Its colors: Burnt Sienna, Heather Blend, Resawn Shake, Colonial Slate, Moire Black, Weathered Wood, Pewter, Georgetown Gray and Cobblestone Gray. Burnt Sienna is exclusive to ClimateFlex among the Landmark lines. See ClimateFlex colors.

Which colors appear in which line

  • All three lines: Weathered Wood, Heather Blend, Resawn Shake, Georgetown Gray, Cobblestone Gray.
  • Landmark and ClimateFlex: Moire Black, Colonial Slate, Pewter.
  • Landmark and PRO: Driftwood.
  • PRO only: Shenandoah, Red Oak, Coastal Blue, Espresso, Evergreen.
  • ClimateFlex only: Burnt Sienna.

The Landmark colors homeowners ask about most

Moire Black is a deep, uniform black that suits white or light siding and modern farmhouse exteriors. Weathered Wood is a gray-brown blend that works on almost any home and hides dirt and streaking well. Georgetown Gray and Pewter are cooler grays for stone and gray siding. Heather Blend and Resawn Shake are warm, multi-tone browns that pair with red brick.

How to choose between the three lines

  • Choose Landmark for a dependable architectural roof at a mainstream price.
  • Choose Landmark PRO if you want a thicker look and richer blends, or one of the PRO-only colors.
  • Choose ClimateFlex if hail is a real concern where you live or your insurer offers credits for impact-rated roofs.

Seeing the color before you commit

Small swatches can mislead. A shingle that looks gray in a brochure may read brown on a roof in afternoon sun. Our CertainTeed color selector shows each Landmark color as a full-house photo, and we bring physical samples to your home so you can see them against your brick, siding and trim.

Landmark and HOAs

Many Midwest subdivisions specify Landmark colors in their covenants. Because the core colors cross lines, an owner can often meet an HOA color requirement while choosing PRO or ClimateFlex for appearance or impact resistance. Check your HOA’s exact wording before ordering.
