Western Kentucky storms
Western Kentucky has seen some of the worst storms in the region. The January 2009 ice storm brought down trees and power lines across the Purchase Area, and the December 10, 2021 tornado devastated Mayfield, about 25 miles south of Paducah. Most storms are far smaller, but wind, hail and ice all open up roofs here every year.
Paducah's older neighborhoods near Lower Town and the river have tall trees and older roofs. Newer homes in McCracken County's growing areas can lose shingles in strong wind. Either way, a tarp keeps the house dry until permanent repairs can be made.
Purchase Area communities
Paducah, Reidland, Lone Oak, Hendron, Mayfield, Benton, Calvert City, Murray and Metropolis, Illinois, across the river.

Paducah emergency tarping questions
Do you tarp in Mayfield and Murray?
Yes. We cover Paducah and the surrounding Western Kentucky counties, including Graves, Marshall and Calloway.
Do you tarp after ice storms?
Yes, once it is safe to climb. Ice makes roofs dangerous, so we may wait for daylight or a thaw and tell you how to protect the inside until then.
Is your Paducah number answered at night?
Yes. (270) 727-5868 is answered 24/7.
Can you tarp across the river in Metropolis?
Yes. We work on both sides of the Ohio River around Paducah.
