Malarkey Highlander AR Colors
Highlander AR is Malarkey's entry-level architectural shingle, and Malarkey says it was the first entry-level shingle built on rubberized (polymer-modified) asphalt. It carries a Class 3 hail impact rating under UL 2218 and uses copper algae-resistant and smog-reducing granules. Malarkey backs it with a limited lifetime shingle warranty, a 10-year non-prorated period and a 15-year algae warranty.

Is Highlander AR a good shingle?
Highlander AR is Malarkey's entry-level line, but it is still built on rubberized asphalt and rated Class 3 for impact. For a budget roof, that is a step up from most entry-level shingles.
What is the difference between Highlander AR and Vista AR?
Vista AR is Class 4 and thicker, with a longer non-prorated period and algae warranty. Highlander AR is Class 3 and costs less. Both come in the same 9 colors in our region.
What does the AR mean?
AR means algae-resistant. The granules include copper, which helps stop the black streaks algae leaves on a roof.
