About ProVia Cedar Peaks® Siding
Cedar Peaks is for the homeowner who loves the look of stained cedar and does not love the ladder work that comes with it. The panel carries a natural patina finish over a cedar woodgrain, so the color reads softer and more like real wood from the curb than a flat, single-tone vinyl.
Under the finish, it is built like ProVia’s premium lines: a .046″ lap panel, 5/8″ projection, the patented Twister Lock with the Cyclonic Locking System, a double-ply nailing hem and a drop guard that keeps each course seated while it goes up. The Cedar Peaks 8″ Board ’N Batten is rated for 144 mph winds (ASD) and a 50 psf design pressure and meets ASTM D3679.
Cedar Peaks comes in all 27 ProVia siding colors. Choose one below to see the swatch and a home wearing it at the top of the page.

Cedar Peaks Siding Questions
What is the difference between Cedar Peaks and CedarMAX?
Both share the same color palette and a cedar grain. CedarMAX adds a rigid foam backer for insulation, impact resistance and a thicker look; Cedar Peaks is a non-insulated panel with a softer patina finish and a lower price.
What does a patina finish mean on vinyl siding?
The color is not perfectly flat. It is finished to show subtle variation, the way stained wood does, so the wall looks less uniform and more natural.
Which Cedar Peaks colors come in board and batten?
The 14 Lifestyle colors plus Canyon, Granite, Aspen and Pueblo. The nine deepest Signature colors are lap-siding only in Cedar Peaks.
Does Cedar Peaks hold up to Midwest hail and wind?
It is built on ProVia’s Super Polymer formulation with impact modifiers, and its locking system is designed for high wind. For the toughest hail exposure we usually recommend stepping up to foam-backed CedarMAX.
